From this vision came a pioneering farm, the only certified caiman operation of its kind in the world. Every skin is sourced with care and responsibility, through conservation-focused practices that support animal welfare and empower local communities with training and fair employment. Here, in the heart of Italy’s leather-making tradition, the most refined ateliers tan the hides, revealing their natural depth and texture. Under the artistic direction of Sarah Maria Gutiérrez, the skins are transformed into Îacaré’s signature pieces — where the raw geometry of nature meets the precision of Italian craftsmanship.
